A friend of mine pulled on my coat and sat me down before he said "Son, find the one that you cannot replace. I've been travelling around, moving about, man I've been everywhere The problem is everywhere's the same Bouncing around from town to town looking for you I first seen you and it seemed to me that you had an entourage Maybe it was the fog rolling in Seaside girl with a see saw mind, hair blowing in the wind She don't care cause her beauty is from within Bouncing around from town to town looking for you Will there come a day when you finally look my way It's so hard to face you when you're running Keep me on a line, will there ever come a time when you Open up the door to your heart and let me in That same old friend dropped me a line came around the other day Asked me how it went "Did you find the One ?" I told my friend that I'd been asking around Put the word out on the street Heard she hangs on to the things she likes to keep Hanging around this crazy little town looking for you Waiting for you to open up the door to your heart and let me in Open up your heart and let me in

When we're young we often think how nice it'd be if we were old We could stay up all night long and do what we want not what we're told When we're old we know better than to wish for certain age When we're old we often think how nice it'd be if we were young When we're young we like to play...play out in the yard Do they do that anymore? When we're young we like to laugh...laugh until we cry and can't stop anymore When we're old it ain't so funny thinking 'bout the things we think about When we're old we often wish that we could laugh Just like we did when we were young When we're young we live forever Ain't nobody or nothing gonna bring us down When we're old we often wish that we could sleep Just like we did when we were young When we were young

Hey Little Darling can you hear me now, can't seem to find us any common ground Between love and hate is a narrow line, we both knew it was a matter of time We broke down somewhere along the way, the spark of life left cooling in the shade A part of you is a part of me If you don't like me baby set me free Chorus If it's your way or the highway, I guess I have no choice You know I love you baby but I'd rather keep my voice If that's the way it's going to be you can show me to the door If its your way or the highway then I'd better hit the road We tried to dust off this old love affair, we thought our love might get us there But I woke up early and I saw the light,I cant stay here for another night Chorus Hit the road that's what i'm gonna do Hit the road to get as far away from you Hit the road to settle down where some peace can be found If it's your way or the highway then I'm gone Come a little closer can you hear me now Ain't gonna find us any solid ground A part of you is apart from me If you don't like me baby set me free Chorus

The Story 02:40
As the crow flies out sure as the wind You threw it all out and stepped right in Cobra snake boogie and a bottle of wine You've got your story and I've got mine Lightning strikes just the lucky few Never thought I'd ever meet a girl like you Was it true love or all a waste of time You've got your story and I've got mine So many sunny day gone by, the times we laughed and the times we cried Now it's cold and lonely nights, no matter who's to blame or who is right Your part of the story is a lot like mine I don't have to tell you how the story ends Ain't gonna let it happen again All we've got left is what we had in kind You've got your story and i've got mine
5.
You've been in love, seen it all so you try it again Hoping that its different than before Picture books and frames of mind , the places you've been That colour the way that you think Kaleidoscopes and Citadels, shrines from the past That help us to remember who we are Rolling hills and sudden thrils an avalanche choir that sings to the power of love When you seek what you haven't found does it hurt to have me around? Can you tell by my tears that i'm still fumbling 'round Tumbled up in love again Surprising is the thing that stops a heart It baffles me how we've come this this far Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dumb are at it again Their hearts on the mend Cedar sparks and beauty marks, an old fashioned smile Hides the sadness that you wear so well Eloquence and elegance and victory drums That speak to the power of love We you see what you haven't found does it hurt to have me around ? Can you tell by my tears that i'm still fumbling 'round Tumbled up in love again
6.
I can't believe the things that tell me are true The way that I cried tells more of me than of you What is there to lose that isn't gone without a trace Since you've been gone I've had to fight to chase the race Chorus Gonna drink to the future, drink to the past Drink to my health because it ain't gonna last I've been down so long and I'm tired of being so far gone Now I know what I'll do because the time has come For me to forget about you and go and have some fun I don't care about the rest of these troubles of mine All I want to do is have a good time Chorus
7.
Porch Light 03:43
I'm so far away but i'm moving in the right direction Cruising on down the road I know you're wide awake so will you make this one exception C'mon baby leave it on Chorus Leave the porch light on, leave the porchlight on It's late at night and I'm coming home leave the porch light on Rolling down that highway driving ninety miles an hour Rolling on down the road It's been so long since you and I have been together Come on baby leave it on Chorus 'Cause your a high stepping mama with stileto daggers to your thighs A sweet loving woman with those devastating eyes Leave it on leave them on I'm so far away but I'm moving in the right direction Rolling on down the road It's been so long since you and I have been together Come on baby leave it on Chorus
8.
It's On You 03:47
If you see me walking down the street with a big smile on my face Don't be alarmed don't cross the street don't you know that's just my way I've been working hard most of my life I can't seem to catch a break I'm gonna keep on smiling and if you don't that's on you Chorus It's on you to choose to live your life in the darkness or the light It's on you to choose to be afraid or to jump up to the fight I've been working hard most of my life I can't seem to catch a break I'm going to keep on smiling and if you don't that's on you Some people live outside the bounds of peace and happiness They can't seem to find no joy. How can they live like this I've got battle scars, I drive a beat up car I'm gonna smile until the end I'm going to keep on smiling and if you don't that's on you Chorus
9.
Next To You 03:01
When you hurt it hurts me too, when you fall down I fall too I pick you up again , you turn around and do the same When you turn out the lights to go to sleep at night Can you see me in the dark next to you We've been hanging around this house hanging out a little while We could leave before the dawn and travel by the stars When you turn out the light to go to sleep at night Can you hear me in the dark next to you And as long as you're here by my side The world seems right again While we wait for night to fall I know exactly where i am when you hurt it hurts me too, when you fall down I fall too You pick me up again , I turn around and do the same When you turn out the lights to go to sleep at night Can you hear me in the dark next to you I'll be next to you
